Stomach It: artist’s menu and performance, 2017

Taus Makhacheva’s performance commissioned by V-A-C Foundation for the Venice Biennale in 2017.

The shape of the white dress for performers comes from a synthesis of the costumes of sisters of mercy, nurses and workers in the food service. The details of the dress are scarce and functional; they include an embroidery-mark and a pocket for brochures.
